Sima Explorer Camp strives to provide an outdoor-based summer camp experience, where children can be physically active while building knowledge and connecting with the natural world around them.
Registration opens February 28th at Noon
Mount Sima provides the perfect location for children to explore and discover Yukon’s natural world. We believe that children thrive when they are outside exploring, creating and learning. We aim to create a camp experience where your child will come home tired, muddy and excited!
Trail Blazers (Age 6-8):
The Trailblazers camp is focused on having fun outdoors! Trailblazers spend their days playing games, and adventuring through the forest. We will tie-dye shirts, make giant bubbles, explore the mountain and and learn about vegetable gardening and our local plants!
Rangers (Age 9-12):
INCLUDES AN OVERNIGHT CAMPING TRIP!
The Ranger camp takes the Trail Blazer’s activities and steps it up a notch! This camp includes more learning and exploring farther from the base, and an overnight camping trip. The campers will spend their days completing challenges, learning how to survive outdoors, and navigating the forest. Campers will learn about native plants and vegetable plant care. We will be putting our survival skills to practice on Thursday evening with our Mt. Sima camping night. Pick at noon after overnight.
