Come train for the backcountry and learn in a safe environment that’s close to home.
-
Single Ticket $25

5-Punch Pass $110
You do not need to have skins or a split board to participate. As long as you are able to safely travel uphill, like on snowshoes, and your downhill equipment is safely fastened to your pack, you can participate.
All uphill users, including children on leashes, must have a headlight or other lighting device and must have it turned on when skiing/riding/walking in the dark. Uphill users are encouraged to have some form of reflective clothing or item on them as well.
The hill closes at 8 pm so users should be off the mountain by this time and should start getting ready to go down the mountain about 10 to 15 minutes before closing. This may mean stopping part way up the mountain to transition to downhill mode to be off the mountain by 8 pm.
Dogs are NOT permitted on the mountain at any time including Uphill Nights.

Route
Uphill traffic on Hailey’s only.
Descent routes on Hailey’s or Pokey’s only.
We will inform you which downhill route is available that night. Mount Sima reserves the right to close access to any area at any time for any reason.
When travelling uphill or downhill follow the Alpine Responsibility Code, and follow these additional guidelines for uphill travel:
- Stay on the designated uphill track
- Skiers/riders may ski or walk up the ski hill on the designated uphill track only. This track follows “lookers” right of Haileys.
- Do not hike or stand in the middle of a ski trail
- Observe posted signs, warnings, and trail closures
- Be alert for and yield to downhill skiers
- Yield to and/or avoid all ski area machinery
- Never stop in high-traffic zones, where you are likely to obstruct a trail, or where you are not visible to downhill traffic.
- Open runs for uphill nights include Haileys and may include Pokeys (but not terrain features on Pokeys) later in the season. All other runs are closed.
- Closed runs may pose a risk to skiers/riders due to grooming activities or ungroomed conditions and other hazards.
Children & Toddlers
A child may be carried up the mountain in a backpack on the designated uphill track on the “lookers” right of Haileys, only if they have boots/skis/boards to make their way down the mountain under their own power. At no time shall a child be carried down the mountain or towed behind another skier/rider in a toboggan or sled either uphill or downhill on a designated ski run.
- Purchase tickets in person in the Lounge.
- All uphill users at Mount Sima must have a season pass or a day pass.
- Individuals with a season pass do not need to purchase a ticket but must have their season pass on them and visible.
- Corporate passes or buddy passes can be used but must be exchanged for a lift ticket in the Lounge.
- Canada west pass holders must pick up a free day pass.
- Please ensure your lift ticket or season pass is visible when on the hill
