Green

Located at the bottom of the mountain, our bunny hill (also called the beginner area) is a gentle, low-slope section of the ski hill designed for beginners, especially those learning to ski or snowboard for the first time.

  • A very mild incline to help beginners practice balance, stopping, and turning without picking up too much speed.

  • A rope tow to help newcomers get back up the hill easily.

  • Groomed surface to reduce the risk of injury.

  • Beginner-friendly obstacles like small bumps to help with skill progression.

  • Ski instructors offering lessons nearby.

It’s the best place to build confidence before moving on to green runs!

Terrain ParksGreen Located at the bottom of the mountain, the Base Park is a beginner-friendly terrain park featuring small, approachable features like rollers, small fun boxes, and gentle jumps—perfect for building confidence and honing skills before tackling bigger park features.

Green

Pokey is a beginner-friendly trail designed for those who have moved beyond the bunny hill but are still developing their skills. 

  • Gentle slopes with a mild gradient (less than 25% or around 6–10 degrees).

  • Wide, open spaces to allow for easy turns and control.

  • Smooth, well-groomed snow to reduce obstacles and make skiing more predictable.

  • Minimal hazards with fewer trees, rocks, or steep drops compared to more advanced runs.

  • Gradual turns rather than sharp or technical sections.

  • Clearly marked signage with a green circle to indicate the run’s difficulty level.

Pokey is perfect for beginners practicing turns, stopping, and controlling speed before progressing to more challenging runs.

In one section, just as you pass Pokey Park, the incline increases and would be considered a Blue level. If you would like to avoid this section, look for a sign saying “Easier Way” on the right to bring you to Hailey’s, another Green level. 

Terrain ParksGreen Pokey Park, located halfway down Pokey, is a beginner-friendly terrain park with small to medium features—perfect for building confidence and sharpening skills before progressing to larger park elements. Competitions are held here often, making it a fun spot for riders of all levels

GreenHailey’s is a scenic and popular green run, perfect for beginners and those looking for a smooth, enjoyable ride.

  • Gentle slopes with a mild gradient (less than 25% or around 6–10 degrees).

  • Smooth, well-groomed snow to reduce obstacles and make skiing more predictable.

This fan-favourite run also includes tree islands, fun rollers, and playful side features, offering variety and flow for an enjoyable ride. With its easygoing terrain, Hailey’s remains one of the most beloved runs on the mountain!

BlueGladedPokey Back is the largest gladed area on the mountain, where skiers can weave through clusters of trees, offering a more adventurous off-trail experience.

The trees provide a dynamic, ever-changing course, allowing for creative turns and exploring different lines. Whether you’re looking to improve your skills in a natural setting or enjoy the beauty of the woods, Pokey Back offers a unique and exciting way to experience the mountain.

BlueGladedDreamweaver is a scenic gladed area offering a mix of tree-filled terrain and open spaces. Ideal for intermediate skiers, it provides a playful, natural experience with a variety of lines to explore, making it a perfect spot for those seeking a bit of adventure among the trees.

BlueGladedFriends Zone is a fun, glade-style area with a mix of trees and natural features, perfect for skiers and snowboarders looking to enjoy some off-trail exploration. It offers a relaxed, playful vibe with varied terrain that makes it a great spot for friends to ski or ride together while enjoying the beauty of the woods.

Coyote is a thrilling blue run that offers an exciting mix of terrain for advanced skiers and riders. The run features both Upper and Lower Coyote Park, two terrain parks that cater to freestyle enthusiasts with a variety of jumps, rails, and boxes. For those looking for an extra challenge, the Triple Jump Line provides a sequence of high-level jumps designed to test your air skills and precision.

In addition to its freestyle elements, Coyote also includes smooth carving sections, allowing for fast, fluid turns and a balanced ride between the park features. Whether you’re working on perfecting your tricks in the park or carving down open sections, Coyote offers a dynamic and fun experience. With its blend of technical features and natural flow, it’s the perfect spot for skiers and riders who are ready to push their skills to the next level.

With its smooth flow, varied terrain, and creative layout, Coyote Park is perfect for skiers and riders who want to push their limits while enjoying an action-packed ride.

Terrain ParksBlackThe Triple Jump Line is an advanced freestyle feature located on Coyote run, designed for skiers and riders looking to push their limits with a sequence of three large, progressively challenging jumps. Each jump offers a unique opportunity to practice air tricks, grabs, and landings, with the option to go bigger or refine technique on each successive jump. The line is crafted for those with higher-level skills, featuring a smooth takeoff and landing, along with plenty of space to flow between jumps. It’s the perfect spot for riders who want to challenge themselves and showcase their freestyle abilities in a high-energy, dynamic environment.

Terrain ParksBlueThe Snowcross (also called a boardercross) course is an exhilarating intermediate-level freestyle track, featuring banked turns, rollers, and other natural obstacles, designed for riders to race head-to-head. Starting from a start gate, riders launch into the course, navigating tight turns and gaining speed over the rollers, which challenge riders to maintain momentum and control. The banked turns provide support for carving and quick transitions, while the rollers offer opportunities for jumps and dynamic riding. With its fast-paced layout and exciting features, the course delivers a thrilling experience for intermediate riders looking to test their skills in a competitive, high-energy environment.

BluePete’s Plunge is a short blue-level connector that links Coyote to Gold Rush. With a moderate pitch, it offers a smooth and enjoyable descent, ideal for intermediate skiers and riders looking to transition between runs. Though brief, Pete’s Plunge provides a fun, flowing route, making it a convenient and scenic link on your way down the mountain.

BlackTall Paul’s Pitch is a black run that serves as a steeper and more challenging counterpart to Pete’s Plunge. With a sharper drop and more aggressive terrain, it offers a thrilling descent for advanced skiers and riders. This short but intense connector links Coyote to Gold Rush, providing a more technical, adrenaline-pumping route. The steeper pitch and tighter turns make Tall Paul’s Pitch a fun challenge for those looking for a more advanced ride down the mountain.

BlueGold Rush is a blue run known for its exciting pitches and smooth, flowy descent. The run features a mix of moderate terrain with fun, dynamic sections that offer a great balance of speed and control. With wide, open spaces and natural features, Gold Rush provides an enjoyable ride for intermediate skiers and riders, making it a popular choice for those looking to carve down the mountain with a smooth, thrilling experience.

Blue

Dan’s Descent is a wide and popular blue run, similar to Gold Rush, but with more space and a higher level of visibility. It’s a fun, exciting run that can be seen from both the chairlift and the lodge, making it a favorite spot for spectators to watch skiers and riders carve their way down. Known for its smooth flow and thrilling pitches, Dan’s Descent is also the go-to location for Alpine Slalom and Giant Slalom races, drawing competitive athletes and fans alike.

At the end of April, Dan’s Descent gets a major facelift, transforming into the course for the Uphill Challenge Snowmobile Races. With huge berms and intense ascents, the terrain becomes more extreme, offering a whole new level of excitement. Whether you’re skiing, watching a race, or enjoying the high-energy atmosphere, Dan’s Descent is a key feature on the mountain.

BlackChilkoot is a challenging black run that runs directly beneath the chairlift, offering a thrilling descent for advanced skiers and riders. This run only receives natural snow, which creates a unique, ever-changing surface as the season progresses, often forming challenging moguls. As a favorite for those looking to progress onto more difficult black runs, Chilkoot provides an exciting opportunity to refine skills in natural conditions, with tight turns and varying terrain that make it a popular choice for those ready to take their riding to the next level.

BlackBilly Goat is an advanced black run accessible from Chilkoot, offering a thrilling series of cliffs and steep, natural terrain nestled between trees. Known for its rugged features and challenging lines, it’s the perfect spot for those who want to test their skills in a more extreme, off-trail environment. Riders can expect tight, technical sections, requiring confidence and control as they navigate the cliffs and drops. Get in touch with your inner mountain goat to ride this wild and exhilarating terrain—Billy Goat is not for the faint of heart!

Double BlackBark Bitter is the most difficult run on the mountain, marked as a double black diamond. This steep, technical terrain winds through dense trees, offering a challenging and exhilarating experience for expert skiers and riders. With its tight, natural features and demanding pitch, Bark Bitter is for those ready to tackle some of the steepest, most rugged conditions on the hill. The dense tree coverage adds an extra layer of difficulty, requiring precision and skill to navigate its tough lines. It’s an intense, high-adrenaline descent for those looking to push their limits.

Terrain ParksBlackThe Big Air Jump is a large, expert-level feature designed for skiers and snowboarders who are experienced with catching big air and executing tricks. This thrilling jump offers plenty of height and distance, providing the perfect opportunity to showcase aerial maneuvers, grabs, and flips. Built for those who have mastered their freestyle skills, the Big Air Jump is a high-adrenaline challenge that tests riders’ control, creativity, and precision in the air. It’s the go-to feature for those looking to push their limits and perform jaw-dropping tricks.

Terrain ParksBlackLocated at the top of Pokey, the Banked Slalom is a snow course winding downhill with a series of banked (angled) turns designed to test a rider’s ability to carve, control speed, and navigate tight corners. It’s a mix of slalom racing and natural terrain riding, with many freestyle or snowboard-specific events.

  • Banked Turns: Steep, curved walls of snow that help riders maintain speed and flow through the course.

  • Gates or Markers: Riders must pass between designated gates, similar to traditional slalom courses.

  • Fast & Technical: Unlike traditional slalom, which is more about edge control on flat ground, banked slalom requires fluid transitions and quick reactions.

  • Timed Competition: Riders race against the clock, with the fastest time determining the winner.

It’s a favourite among snowboarders and skiers looking for a mix of racing and freeride-style carving.

Summer

Machine built flow trail with beginner to intermediate features. 3.9km long starting at the very top of Mt Sima by the observation deck. Down the north face. Great for first time downhillers, kids and families, but can still send it!

bike map blue Single track intermediate trail. Straight from the lift offload. 2.7 km following Pokey’s on the north side of the mountain. Lots of small fun features and rock slabs. Good for that next step after Drop the Clutch.

TRAIL NOTE: Righty Tighty rerouted to S-Bend and Bunny Hill.

bike map black Start to the left side of Top Hut, following the mid-line fo the mountain. 1.8 km of good flow, soft squishy ground, and choose your own adventures lines in Friend Zone. Great for the intermediate/advance rider, and a taste for true down hill.

TRAIL NOTE: Loam and Behold exit has been rerouted to the Bunny Hill.

bike map black Starting to the right of the lift offload, o.7km that follows the mid-line of the mountain and heads towards the south side. Starts off as single track to machine built flowy berms and features, and ends with a fun loamy section, feeding into Left Loosey.

bike map black Starts at the very top at the observation deck follows the South-East face of Sima for 1.7km. Full down-hill trail with natural and built features including rock slabs, down ramps, and bridges. This trail is featured in our race series.
